I need a job. I'm desperate. All I need to do is lose weight. I have been looking at the Navy websites(why? they hardly tell you anything) and nothing in depth. I really have no likes as far as career wise. Almost anything I'll take, I guess. So what jobs would be available to me with the Navy? will I be able to pick my base I want to be stationed after training? thanks in advance

Well for starters with a score like that you can get a high tech job like mine, I am a submarine sonar tech, but really you could get most jobs available, as far as picking your base after boot camp you go strait to what is called "A" school, then you will be able to pick your orders based on what is available in your rating.. I can't really speak on on the surface fleet, but my 3+ years serving on submarines has been allot of fun.. to get information on all jobs available to you, you really need to speak to your local recruiter.. I hope this helps... good luck..

I don't agree with either statement. First, Cena is the top face of WWE, he sells the most merchandise, he sells out arenas, he brings in the most money and probably makes the most money of all the WWE wrestlers, not only that, but he has a passion and love for the wrestling business, it is something he has always wanted ever since he was a child, he is living his dream, no point in giving that up. Second, that just isn't true, he has earn most fans respect, there are only a few Cena haters out there, who just hate Cena for doing his job, most fans love Cena, and the others, don't have anything against Cena personally, they respect how hard he works, and many other things about Cena, they just don't like Cena's Character. Truthfully, this is a good majority of wrestling fans that respect all wrestlers, for the bumps and risks they take just to entertain us, the fans, and, if you was a major WWE star, would you give all that up just because some one on Y!As told you to, I don't think so, and if you did, well, that wouldn't be the smartest thing to do.

With an ASVAB of 90, you should have quite a selection of jobs. And if you really don't care about what your job is, then ask about the manning in whatever job you're considreing. Go for one that's undermanned at the moment. It will most likely give you a better enlistement bonus and give you more opportunities for advancement.

As far as where you'll be stationed, always remember "the needs of the Navy" come first. If you want east coast and they need you on the west coast, guess where you're going? But where you might be stationed is something else you might want to consider when picking your job. With our son's rating, there's only a limited number of bases and ships/boats he can be stationed at or on.

Take care and good luck!

With a 90 you can do about anything. If you can get in the nuclear program, I highly suggest that. School is about 2 years (6 yr enlistment) and opportunities after your enlistment are awesome (NASA, power co., etc) Crypto is good too. There's Sonar, Aviation electronics computer field, Sub electronics. I recommend that you choose something where you will come out of A school as an e4 like the ones I listed above. Usually after your A school, the person at the top of your class gets 1st choice of orders and so on. Talk to a recruiter to get more detail and find what's right for you.

A 90 will get you a good technical job. If you go Navy, this is what you want. Don't worry about what you like. Approach it like this: Take a job that you know will get you top dollar in the civilian community. That way, you always know you will have a job opportunity if you get out. Then while you are in, get all the training you can and work a second job doing what you like. If you get out, you have everything you need to be successful. Your assignment comes from your ranking in technical school. If there are 35 people, the top student gets first choice, all the way down to the last person. In a way, I guess you can say you get to pick.

Just too add to the picking the base you want to do to answer. Your school will be given a list of places to send graduates (their orders). These are usually, but not always, places that no one else wants to go. It is then up to those at your school to assign each graduate to a set of orders. Some school will simply assign you to set or orders and other schools will allow you choose between the orders available based on GPA. It all depends on who is running the school at the time.

Go talk to a recruiter or if possible go to a Naval Base and take a tour. There are free tours of bases and ships.
