For women: Adult movies with your man -- go or no go?

I tried to ask this question earlier, but it was considered a violation, so I'll try to keep this tasteful. Someone suggested that my wife and I should try watching adult movies as a way to try something new. I think she'll be game for this, but I'm concerned about one thing.

Let's face it, most adult movies are designed with a male audience in mind. Most of the actors are doing things only men would find interesting. So I'm asking any women here, if your husband suggested that you watch adult movies together, what kind of movies would you like to watch and how would you approach the situation?

There's a lot of different kinds of movies out there, so give a guy some ideas of what you like to watch, assuming you do watch them at all.

I realize that you asked the women....but.....my wife likes watching porn with me.....(especially the all girl stuff).....of course.....we only watch about 20-30 mins before we "ignore" the TV.............gotta love it

My husband and I watch adult movies. I have never had a problem with it but there are a couple of things that a woman should know before watching. You have to make your wife understand that you don't expect her to perform like the actresses in the movies. That you don't expect her to do the same things that they do in the movies. My husband and I have been watching for years. The movies have come a long way and some are a little more tastefully done than others. If you would like to e-mail me, I would be happy to give you the name of a couple of companies that we use that have some tasteful movies. Usually my husband will ask the girls in the store where he buys them if they can suggest any movies that they themselves enjoy seeing. This helps us to get some movies that are meant to be for a woman. There are not that many but they are out there. My husband and I usually make a picnic lunch with wine or drinks and make an evening or afternoon of it. We laugh and joke about some of them and it doesn't matter. It is not suppose to be serious. It should just be fun and it's ok to poke fun at some of the movies. It's a turn on to both of us. We also like reading adult books to each other. It is our most fun thing to do. The movies we use when we are being lazy.

Yes. My husband I watch adult movies - together. I agree that they are probably more geared toward a male audience but the end result is the same. It gets us in the mood and we also find new ideas occasionally. Sometimes you get some pretty cheesy ones then we just watch and laugh.
The movie channels have some late night "soft porn" that is pretty non offensive. Those might be a good place to start and see how she responds.

In studies women aren't as stimulated watching men, as men are to see women and there is a higher demand for women. Women are paid as much as 10 times higher per/movie. You note that basically, women degrade themselves in adult movies. Do you or others that watch adult movies equally degrade themselve by watching. It's over a three billion dollar a year industry, so there must be 100's of millions who degrade themselves, to that line of thinking. With the adult movies would you rather be "casting the first stone," or the beautiful girl?

I say adult movies a GO! I enjoy watching this movies with my husband. I DO NOT like the lesbian scenes though. I enjoy watching two people make love from opposite sexes. I am sure she will feel the same. When you go and pick out the movies ask the person behind the counter is it has lesbian or gay scenes. They will let you know what will be a good pick for couples viewing.

My husband and I watch together and separately. We both have different preferences so we try to keep that in mind. When we watch together we choose a selection that things that we both like, but don't necessarily love. However, this takes a whole lot of honesty. You really need to be clear about what is off limits. Also, keep in mind your girl's insecurities at all times. If she has small boobs and all you do is watch big boob videos, she may feel insecure. Vice versa. Again though, if you both are not completely honest this may break your relationship.

There are "adult movies" out there that are more geared to Women. Where the man is more "attentive" to the Woman and it's not hard core.

I say, if you're both OK with it, go to the video store together and pick something out. Or, if you don't want the video store to know, go to an adult bookstore and pick something out.

You will either enjoy it, or not, so what's the harm?

There are a lot of movies out there for couples to watch together, but I have to warn you: the men are very well endowed...and it has been my experience that the man watching might not be quite as....gifted. Sometimes this leads to feelings of inadequacy, not just by the woman, which is common, but also by the man, which you might not have thought of.

I would agree, at least we would be watching them together. As for what kind, well you chose. If I get bored, well there is always the ironing to do.

As for making the movies. A definite NO. I would never leave myself open for repercussions

well you might want to watch the ones with guys and girls together first of all...just tell her that you guys might find something new you want to try to spice up ur love life...hey i would be up for it, but then again im a teenager and i live at home still but i would :)...o and yea most of the pornos are made for men cuz like u never see p*nises you always see boobs and other things, but hey give it a try good luck!
