No it isnt right, he needs medical attention. Faeces should be brown. White or clay coloured faeces is called steatorreah and is an indication taht the gall bladder is not working properly and fats are not being digested as they should be;
You need to get your son seen pretty soon, if you have to wait for a doctor appointment then it would be better to take him to the hospital. If you can get a stool sample take it with you, a clean jar washed out with boiled water will do.
He is losing weight because his body is being starved even though he is eating. Watch his skin colour too, if he starts looking yellow he should have immediate attention. Dont leave this any longer than you have to;

Weight loss is an important clinical indicator, and especially in a child of this age should be investigated by your GP/family doctor. The stools being pale is a concern, does he have any other symptoms such as itching, dark urine, and yellowing of his eyes?
Pale stools indicate that bile is not reaching the bowel, its usual method of excretion. This colours the stool, and odorises it also. When there is a blockage of bile, from the intra hepatic ducts, gall bladder or any part of the biliary tree, this can cause the stools to become paler.
Given the symptoms, i would advise a GP referral, with a few routine bloods and tests for certain liver conditions and a USS should be able to identify any problem.

You first should keep him hydrated because he is losing fluid and then you should check with a Doctor about the situation but here is some information on on what colour the feces should be.
Human fecal matter varies significantly in appearance, depending on diet and health. Normally it is semisolid, with a mucus coating. Its brown colouration comes from a combination of bile and bilirubin, which come from dead red blood cells. In newborn babies, fecal matter is initially yellow/green after the meconium. This colouration comes from the presence of bile alone. In time, as the body starts expelling bilirubin from dead red blood cells, it acquires its familiar brown appearance, unless the baby is breast feeding, in which case it remains soft, pale yellowish, and not-unpleasantly scented until the baby begins to eat significant amounts of other food. Throughout the life of an ordinary human, one may experience many types of feces. A "green" stool is from rapid transit of feces through the intestines, and "clay-like" appearance to the feces is the result of a lack of bilirubin. Bile overload is very rare, and not a health threat. Problems as simple as serious diarrhoea can cause blood in owner's stool, turning it black. Food may sometimes make an appearance in the feces. Common undigested foods found in human feces are seeds, nuts, corn and beans, mainly because of their high fibre content.

No this is not normal,but if he has been vomiting and had diarrohea then this would cause it if he hasnt been eating normally, you need to take him back to his GP. the weight loss is more of a concern than the colour of his faeces.
I dont know what the thumbs down are for. If my 4year old lost half a stone I'd be more worried about that than I would the colour of his faeces

I watched Dr. oz..as quickly as approximately this and your feces would desire to be easy brown and formed extremely like a "C", whether it somewhat is a million/2 dark and a million/2 easy, the dark shows it somewhat is been on your physique longer.

At first, i was gonna joke about this and say brown... but this doesnt sound good and im sure your being serious when you ask... most SERIOUS people will tell you to take him to the doctors and in this case thats what you should do... asking us at 10pm at night... some of us have had a drink... me included... we are probebly tiered, not a good idea, i bet none of us are doctors...
you should just take him to see one
or type this in your search engine and see what turns up
good luck with this

You should take him to your doctor as soon as possible and insist on having blood tests done to find out why he has this rapid weight loss.
