I met this Jewish guy, but I've been raised in a Catholic family. I'm not sure how strict he is, or he has Jewish heritage, but I'm wondering if this would pose a problem? I hope this isn't wrong of me to ask!

It depends on your views and the guys views. There is no definite answer. I've been turned down by Girl #1 because she was religious and I wasn't. Girl #2 was the same religion as Girl #1 but it didn't bother her that I wasn't religious. It could pose a problem, but the only way to find out for sure is to ask.

I don't see why it would pose a problem. There are many couples out there that are from different religions and they find ways to make their relationship work. I am catholic and I dated a muslim guy for 6 months and somehow it never really caused any problems. So why would it unless you are just looking for excuses to not talk to him. Do what your heart tells you.

Of course it will pose a problem. What will you do at Christmas? What religion will you raise your kids? Will you cook traditional Jewish foods at his holidays? Will you celebrate Jewish holidays, Christian, holidays or both or none? Will you learn Hebrew? Will you go to church or temple together? Will his or your parents be disappointed you strayed from your faith? Will his family accept you? Will you convert? Will he convert? Will you give up your faith if he's not interested in it? Will you stop going to mass if he makes Sunday morning plans? If you're married, will you have to skip a Christmas tree? Think about it.

Chill, all gods are one god, known by a thousand different names. Ask him if he is strict, about his Jewish heritage, talk about religion with the guy. I have a friend whom is Jewish, I don't know if ever talked about this.

It depends on how strong the connection: 1) you have with catholicism, 2) he has with judaism, & 3) you have with one another. I believe it could hurt both of you if you make personal judgements about one another based on religion. BUT I also believe, if approached in a respectufl & mature manner, that the relationship could expand your knowledge & make you both more well-rounded individuals.
