Uh, I hate to tell you this - but chicken pox don't really turn people into chickens, or any kind of bird at all, so your children will never Actually be able to fly - whether they have chick pox or not.

Acutally you should be able to by then.. As long as the pox are scabbed over and they have no fever. chicken pox are only contageous for a short time..

Chickenpox is contagious from about 2 days before the rash appears and lasts until all the blisters are crusted over. A child with chickenpox should be kept out of school until all blisters have dried, usually about 1 week

The general rule is that all the spots must be scabbed over and there must be no new spots for 24 hours before the child is considered no longer contagious, otherwise I suspect the airline will not allow them on the plane. Usually it takes 7-10 days for this to occur so you may just make it in time. Good luck to you!

Sorry about yourChildren , but its the scabs and healing wound that are very much contagious, after the scabs and wound healing is complete you cannot fly off.
This can be easily assessed when the skin takes a uniform original colour as it was in healthy child.

No, it would be very irresponsible to try to put them on a plane. They not only probably feel awful but you're exposing all of those people that have no idea and were not warned. They would probably notice at check in anyways and deny you access to the plane.
