A substantial number of girls have tumbled to the fact that the guys who go bald are going bald because they've got more testosterone than other guys.
Obviously some girls prefer effeminate guys, but girls who prefer men to be men are happy to see an obvious sign of masculinity.
Overall, I reckon you gain.
If you prefer your girls to be feminine, very often feminine girls prefer masculine men.
If you prefer your girls to have a bit of a masculine edge to them, then you gain because they usually want a guy who's much more obviously masculine than they themselves are.
You may not do so well with nondescript girls, but who in their right mind wants a nondescript girl?

I am a newlywed and my husband is 26 years old and balding too. I think its great. It's just part of the process. Some girls dig it and some don't care either way. It really bothers him to know he's losing his hair so young, but hey, I think it's pretty hot myself!

Yes I think most do! Think of the other options - hair transplants are gross, using that paint like spray is nasty - comb-overs totally sick, wigs are yuck! Look at Bruce Willis, Ed Harris, etc. I have a lot of guy friends who look so much better with it shaved than trying to pretend something is there. Also looks cute with hats and you never have to worry about grey hair!

there is nothing wrong with going bald unless you have a george jefferson. if you are going bald you should go ahead and shave it. that is very sexy! i love to rub on a smooth bald head!!!

I guess some girls do...it depends on your fiscal features too though. Some people can pull the look off and some can't.

ok, man... listen up:
if your head has a nice shape (ask any woman-friend for honest opinion), then shave everything off.
if your head shape isn't that great, keep your hair at #1.
NO comb-overs, racoons or other dead furry animals.
It is manly and tough.
