i'm in a solid realtionship that has been 5 years, but have met someone else and fallen for them big time. I still think the world of my girlfriend and thought she was the one, but there is a very special connection with this girl i've met. She came on to me, and since we clicked and had a wicked couple of months of fun, she really makes me happy when i'm around her, really special girl. Anyway, she's at uni and has moved to France and she decided to finish it due to long distance stuff etc etc, which is probably the best thing to do as i was finding it imposible to finish with my girl friend and a year away in France is a long time to keep a realationship going. But i can not get this girl out of my head!!! Am i feeling true love or what??? feeling emotions not felt before. Is it the rejection of it finishing or am i just seeking something extra from my present relationship?? i've kept contact with her as friends so i can think, but she now says what a great friend i am.

You have spent five years with someone and that is not easy unless you love them. You will have so many more of these "fallen for them big time" relationships if you allow them to happen. Think about how many times you possibly "fallen" for other people before you met your current girlfriend. You should have split with your current girlfriend the minute you started in a relationship with the France girl. Distance makes the heart grow fonder and that is what is happening. As soon as that distance is gone and the two of you are together then, she will look as boring as the girl you are currently dating for five years. The grass looks greener on the other side. You need to either put 100% in the current relationship of five years or split with her. She deserves no less. Just like you, she has only one life to live and should have someone that feels the way you do about France girl about her. Good Luck.

Look...first of all if you are still with your girlfriend the least you could have done is break it off before all of this started. How wouls you feel if she did this to you? She is probably a great girl and you are wasting her time by "sparing her feelings." Be a man about it and tell her how you feel. Guys just dont want to hurt the girl they are with, well, guess what? You are hurting her more by going behind her back than being upfront and telling her the truth. If you have been with her that long, atleast have some respect for her. As far as the falling in love, think about this..when you decided to spend time with her, were you feelinf something lacking from your current relationship, maybe that is just something that you need to do to refresh things between the two of you, and tow..did you ever think about your gf when you were with the other one? Now if you answer yes to either of these questions...than maybe you are just bored and you need to spark things up or maybe you are ready to move on.

it's people like us that make other people scared to fall in love. i am just like you. i like one guy after the other. you know that song "i'm like a bird" by nelly futardo? i'm just like that.
but then i met this guy.. and he's amazing. even his flaws are so sweet to me. i love him a lot. I feel like he is the one for me, but i'm not the one for him. he is amazing in every single way, and i wonder what makes him love me. Me; the obnoxious immature girl.
i know i love him because i never said i love you to any other boy whole heartly, but when i say it to him, i feel like i'm giving him my soul.
but what if he leaves?
