The cancer cure that is B17 (amygdalin) does in fact work. To the woman who answered above that it is cyanide, she's correct, it is in fact cyanide. However, the cyanide itself is only released into one cell, and that is a cancer cell. Some scientists refer to the cancer cell as the "lock and key" cell, because when it comes in contact with amygdalin, the cell breaks down and feeds off of the cyanide that it is given from the amygdalin. If there is no cancer cell present, the cyanide-containing amygdalin passes through your system, no harm, no foul. B17 is found naturally in apricot seeds, apple seeds, plum seeds, many sprouts, and bitter almond, among many other sources of food. If you search on Yahoo for apricot seeds (which taste bitter themselves, that is the amygdalin you are tasting) they are easy to find and inexpensive to purchase. And to anyone that doubts it works, simply do your research. Chemotherapy contains amygdalin. Hmm, interesting, eh? If it doesn't work, why does Chemo contain it? The bible teaches us that food which is bitter to the tongue will be sweet to the stomach, and food that is sweet to the tongue will be bitter to the stomach. Any surprise that cancer feeds off of sugar? Think about that. To anyone that doubts me, my father was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal carcinoma several years ago, a very rare form of nasal cancer. He was given chemo and radiation. It did not work. We searched for other means of treatment, found the apricot seeds, he takes pancreatic enzymes to break down the protein wall around the cancer cell and allow the amygdalin to be released into the cell, and he has been cancer-free now for more than 3 years. Where chemo failed, nature cured.

There isn't any scientific recognition for a vitamin B-17. It's basically a fabrication invented to explain what's in an apricot seed. Vitamin B-17 is cyanide. Poison.
And, there is no evidence that anyone has ever benefited by using it. Clinical trials from the NCI indicate that every single participant died of disease progression.
Here's a good test for any type of treatment for cancer. The bottom line is does the product - no matter what it is - stop the progression of the disease and/or does it shrink tumors within a short period of time. Traditonal medicine measures the tumors and uses it for evidence. Frankly, it the tumors do not show evidence of shrinking either immediately or within 30 or 60 days . . than what good is it. Maybe it might have some benefit way, way down the road for a really slow growing tumor . . but for an immediate treatment for cancer and tumors . . if you are dying because a tumor is growing in leaps and bounds every two weeks . . it is best to go with treatment that you know has the highest chance of stopping it. This isn't guess work. It is documented treatment.
My son has an aggressive sarcoma that is known to double every 28 days. The only treatment that has stopped, shrunk, and completely made his tumors disappear has been tradional chemotherapy. It literally saved his life. Furthermore, even though it wasn't guaranteed to work, we had done our research and knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that chemothrapy was his only chance to survive. And, it worked . . within one month he had a significant response, by the third or fourth cycle his tumors were reduced enough that he could go on to have 75% of his tumors debulked. He has come a long, long way in 22 months. He has a small nodule or two left on the liver. Without tradional treatment . . he would not be here.

B17 is laetrile (Amygdalin) and comes from apricot kernals In the US, any cancer treatment that doesn't involve vast amounts of $$ benefiting Big Pharma is generally considered quackery, but that's not true in many other countries. I don't think the cure is in traditional medicine, they just cut and burn, and lower your already compromised immune system. The cure is building a strong immune system through lifestyle changes (getting healthy). That could be different for different folks. Lots of alternative cancer info out there, can make you kind of crazy if you're trying to help yourself or a loved one... Bill Henderson's pretty awesome, I linked to his website...(and bought his book, really strict, but then, cancer is relentless)

Not to my knowledge.
All kinds of natural extracts are tested in many unrelated labs worldwide. If this worked, it would be known, believe me. And for those who believe that it is not encouraged because it is an inexpensive vitamin and that nobody can make money out of it, please do your homework !!! Vitamin D IS USED in the conventional treatment of leukemia (because it does work) !!!
This is a scam to make money out of suffering people. I've seen many other scams, including one "doctor" who pretended to cure brain cancer giving urine injections (and relieving your pockets of 40 000$ per month of treatement for all his trouble). So for all those who think only pharmas make money out of cancer treatment, think again.
Chemo is not pleasant, I know, but it's what has the best chance of working.
A little info on what exactly is chemotherapy :
It is usually a combination of a few chemicals known to be cytotoxic (toxic to cells) and sometimes other compounds known to promote cell differentiation (like vitamin D). These chemicals can be of synthetic or natural origin. For example, first line chemo is usually a combination carboplatin or cisplatin with taxol. Taxol comes from an essential oil extracted from cedar tree. It was first discovered while testing extracts from different trees. The other extracts tested were so toxic they killed all cells (normal also) without any discrimination. So please be careful. Something being natural does not mean it is harmless and has no side-effects. Organisms in nature do not make compounds to cure you, but to defend themselves. We only make use of these because we humans have learned to use these things as tools for ourselves.

I don't think that's possible you must have special treatment for that, not only taking vitamins.
