I was on my way home and was taking a two lane road on the back side of town. All of a sudden traffic seemed backed up as far as I could see. It was strange because it is not a busy road. Some fat b*tch in her 60's was going about 40 mph when the poste limit is 55. Instead of pulling off and letting people pass she just drove slow and backed up traffic. I new i needed to take action. She finally turned off and I followed her to a stoplight and pulled next to her open window. 'Hey b*tch!' I yelled. When she looked at me I took my full cup of mountain dew and lobbed it over the roof of my car and into her lap. It was by luck it went where it did. She freaked out and I think she started crying. I was just defending the roads. But did i overreact?

I'm sorry... you completely over reacted. The posted speed limit is the Maximum speed limit, not minimum. She may not feel comfortable driving at high speeds, her car may not be working correctly, their are many possible scenario's.

The question you have to ask yourself... How was that defending the roads?

Yes you definitely did overreact. If that where me I would have gotten out of my car and beat the S@@T out of you. The slowest people can drive is 40 mph on a road that has a limit of 55 or higher. Some people just like to take their time when they drive because they are not in such a rush as other people. Now when you get stuck behind some old person doing 20 in a 55 like I did then you go around them or just lay on the horn until they pull over.

You sure did.

How do you know that she was not driving home from a Doctor's appointment where she had just been told she had an incurable disease, and she was driving slowly, which was the best she could at the moment, just to get home so she could fall apart there?

Or maybe home from the funeral of a friend or loved one?

On the other hand, maybe she is just a sadistic old biddy and she takes pleasure in aggravating people by driving slow. And you shocked her by calling her on her rude behavior, because she can dish it out but she can't take it?

You probably will never know, but in the future, I would advise that you tend to err on the cautious side.

Here is my throwing food at strangers in cars story.

When I was an obnoxious teenaged girl, in a car full of obnoxious teenaged girls, we were messing around and I kinda threw an ice cream cone at this guy's car, (we didn't know them).

Ummm, well, the ice cream cone sorta accidentally flew right into their t-tops and landed in the car. (I had a good arm, but the cars were moving at least 45 mph - it would have been a heck of a shot and I was just aiming for the outside of the vehicle.)

And they were pissed off. They chased us for miles. Thank God my friend was a very good driver and we got away. I do not think being cute girls would have gotten us out of that one. I am pretty sure they would have at least, beat us up.

Boy, I was a stupid teenager.

And you were absolutely wrong to do what you did.

Don't be an idiot. Of course you didn't overreact. You should have called in the Air Force for a pinpoint tactical thermonuclear air strike. Hopefully it would have gotten you too out of my way.

BTW, I hope you are kidding. Just because she drives slow doesn't mean she doesn't have the same right to the road you do. Would you rather she drove slowly and didn't have an accident, or fast and have an accident that ties you up for a couple of hours?

Play nice, kids.

Yes, I have been a 'road rager'. It was well deserved. The drivers of the car ahead of me, and in the lane over next to her were stopped at a red light, talking through their open windows. The light turned green but they continued their conversation 20 seconds later. I grew tired of waiting, so I calmly steered my calm around the car in front of me and drove around them via the shoulder lane. I never honked, gave any hand gestures, skidded out, or even offered a dirty look. About a minute later the lady (in an SUV mind you) comes flying up on the freeway, shes driving in the lane right next to me, screaming at me (I can hear her through the 65mph wind noise) flips me off then attempts to speed away angerly. I simply could not allow this type of behavior, especially considering I had done nothing wrong. So I downshifted into 3rd gear (on the freeway), immediately accelerated to 100 mph, caught up to the b***h, cut across two lanes to be directly ahead of her, and slammed on my breaks as hard as I could. I think she actually s**t her self. I guarantee she will never do it again. This occured in the United States.

Having experienced something like this I can tell you that it's a Class Four Felony in Virginia (someone threw a beer bottle into my car in a case of mistaken identity; discovered after we had a little discussion with the police).

Class Four Felony in Virginia: Face between two and ten years in prison and up to a $100,000 fine.

Better hope she didn't report you. I suspect it's similar in other states.

IMO, i think you have over reacted. I can understand that you were mad, i would have been too, but if you stop and think about it, cussing her out is already near the limit line, but you pour liquid onto her, making her cry. Yes, i think it went overboard, but hey, you did what you did, don't mourn on it =)

i get really mad at old people drivning too, they should not have the right to drive if they obstruct traffic that much, but you might have over reacted just a little bit, you could have just told her that she should get of the ******* road, or something, but i get that feeling alot.
