I did it on EHarmony and now I am married to one of the guys they matched me. Step 1- Look around for the site that best suits you. Look for one that has a mission you agree on, examples: to set up meaningful long term relationships, religion specific dating, casual dating. You can pick a site that matches you, or you can find one where you search for your own. Advice: never rely on the other person's pictures- if I had I would have never met some really great guys- including my husband (he is completely non-photogenic). Eharmony cuts to the chase right away. They are not kidding. If you are looking to meet someone you may fall in love with and marry, then give them a shot.

You might as well be upfront...you dont want to waste your time or there's..I have to admit..I myself have had my time wasted, and I've wasted others...so be upfront, but in a friendly way..cause i'm sure you are! And describe everything that you have described here! I'm sure you wont have a problem...if you dislike something..mention it..whats the worst that can happen?? they wont' contact you

The date sets up by itself when two people like each other. Send a short but nice email letting them know you liked what you saw and would like to know more about them.
