The most effective way to treat it, I've found after trying a few remedies, is exfoliating the area in the shower. Then, right after getting out, moisturize the area (twice a day, morning and night is ideal) with a heavy duty moisturizer that has the ingrediant lactic acid, which unclogs the bumps. This is found in moisturizers such as St. Ives Intensive Moisture Treatment. Within 2 weeks you'll see an improvement, but when you discontinue moisturizing it comes back, so keep up the routine.

I have the same problem, my dermatologist told me to just moisturize the area. He suggested using a lotion with vitamin E, it is suppose to help thicken the skin to help hide the bumps and it is a deep moisturizer. It works, but you have to remember to lotion frequently during the week. I try to do it every time I get out of the shower, but sometimes I'm in just to big of a rush, and as my skin get drier the more noticeable the bumps are. I also exfoliate the area before I moisturize to guarantee its really clean and avoid pimples and such. I recommend using a lotion that is all vitmin E, meaning its not just the third or fourth ingredient, the cheap stuff on the bottom of the selves always works best, also because they usually don't contain irritants like perfumes.

I have read that if you have them you are not getting enough omega 3 fatty acids in your diet. The kind you get from eating fish like salmon, or walnuts.
I have this problem too. I don't get to eat fish too often so I took fish oil tablets. It helped the skin, but didn't help the breath too much.
