OK! I am a former bartender and I would like to answer this for all you guys out there. Female bartenders are perceived to be "who*es" as you so eloquently put it because we are constantly hit on by men and we "pretend" to reciprocate because, just like strippers, that's our money. We make more money if a guy perceives us as single and available to them. BUT, also like strippers, it's just our job. I've known many many female bartenders and we're all the same, once we go home, usually to out boyfriend or husband (that, by the way, we don't tell you we have) we're just like any other chick. In fact, most female bartenders I know have become so numb to being hit on that we usually don't even pay attention to it let alone go home with some random bar guy at the end of the night. Now, male bartenders are the real who*es, at least in my experience.

Probably for every wh*re there is also at least one good girl too. There is no particular career that predestines anyone into whoredom.... It's the person themselves and they come from every walk of life.... If you believe anything of the contrary, the rumor was probably started by a guy who couldn't score with the lady bartender.

I'm a former bartender. I worked with several other female bartenders and none of them were, as you put it, a "wh*re". In fact, we all were happily married. Just because a bartender flirts with customers doesn't make them promiscuous. It just gets them better tips!

I have worked at more then one bar and can tell you that the occupation has nothing to do with it. the girls who are wh@res wh@res no matter what they do. the girls where i worked mostly were in long term relationships and never cheated. they fliterted with the guys but never went home with them. they are use to drunk guys all the time and know how to deal with them. i did however see girls that were patrons that wre in the bar everday leaving with a different guy. ohhh. i have been a bar back, bouncer and doorman

That's like saying that all doctors are quacks or not--that's really a narrow minded statement don't you think?? Just because a person works hard for a living doesn't mean that they are out there looking for just any "BODY" to come along and get a piece of that--There are allot of Mom's out there tending bar to keep a roof over their families heads --Shame on you
