For Christmas, I got a MacBook, and a case with a strap on it. My backpack also has a small slot for a laptop that size inside. I need to take my laptop to school, because I do an after school activity, then I walk straight to my singing lesson. I need my laptop for my singing lesson, because I use it to record my lessons on my laptop. When I bring it to school, I will definetly leave it with my homeroom teacher for the whole day.
1. Should I bring it in the case, in a tote bag?
2. Put it in the case in my backpack?
3. Or just bring the other case with the strap and carry that along with my backpack?

Bring it in what will be most protected based on how much it will be handled. Your padded case should be that item you keep it in and it is accessed from the most. This way you reduce the risk of accidental damage.
