Nothing you can do...let it heal, and make sure it isn't swelling too badly or you may have to see a doctor. Most times, it will go away on its on in 7-10 days depending on the size of the bruise.

Hard to answer - big or small - vein or artery?

Did it bleed? Gush?

Obviously, it wasn't serious enough for you to be concerned enough to go to a hospital, just a red swelling on bleeding, so just keep an eye on it.

If it gets bigger then seek a Doctors attention - otherwise, keep it clean, patch it up, and forget about it - it'll heal up in time; the body is pretty resiliant to small time injuries of the skin like scraps and scratches.

I work hard with my hands, and have that happen frequently, and it's no big deal. The worst ones hurt for a day or two, and go away. Just take it easy with that hand for a 'while'--till it's feeling better--and you'll be fine.

Nothing. It will heal and the blood will absorb. You now have a hematoma. I get them all of the time but then, I am older than dirt and we get them all the time. Burns and stings a little but don't waste your time going to the hospital.
