In my opinion, if you currently spend more than $30 per month on long distance phone calls, then Vonage is definitely worth it. We were spending $300 per month on long distance (my wife has relatives living in South America and Europe), and Vonage reduced that by about 75% during normal months, even with more minutes talked. A little less of a reduction in December.

The service is as reliable as your ISP. The only interruption we have ever had in the phone service is when our ISP went down. We've never had Vonage, itself, go down, and we've had Vonage for over a year-and-a-half.

As a customer? I've been with them for about 3 years now. Very few problems and great prices.
