i have a older heavy chair i use a big plastic mat under chair but every 6 mo or so i need a new mat how can i make mat last longer the carpet under mat isold in good shape just well matted down been useing a mat on for 20+ years

I would first recommend getting a new chair. Your spine will thank you!

Secondly, make sure you get the higher-end plastic mat. The cheaper ones are thinner and more flexible, making them more prone to cracking where the wheels push down on it.

Bobby (if that is your real name), I hope you have your own office or work from home. Try Febreze. It has removed icky dog smells, cat urine smells, and cooking smells from fabrics in my home. Maybe if you saturate the chair one night before you leave the office it will be better when you come back. JOSH if this is you, I feel sorry for your new co-workers in Malaysia. Curt, if this is you - bring your files down to me because I don't want to go into your office.
