It's because they would rather believe the lies than open their minds to the truth of any belief.

Truth must come out and come across as acceptable in a peaceful and civilised way. In this day and age no other religion takes it like a crusade upon other people. Yes people are learning and imbibing from other religions but only the good. No one can just accept a religion without learning and understanding for himself. That is essentially the crux of the thing.

You seem to have concluded that people have accepted one religion as final souce for the query. "Truth is a pathless land" Said J.Krishnamurthi, the great seeker of truth. If it was the intention of Almighty God to believe there was only one religion to lead the people to Him, he would have created all humans under that religion only. But the fact is not so. Even some one accepts the teachings in Islam, there is no need that he should accept and change his religion.

The Muslim is he from whose hands and tongue other Muslims are safe.---You're still lacking the maturity of thoughts as your question suggests.
To start with there are differences in cultural backgrounds and in order to understand worldviews, there is a need for the acquisition of cultural information and knowledge. As a Muslim, to convey the message of Islam effectively, concepts must be presented in the cultural and religious language that the reader can understand. To be effective we cannot look down upon other religions. Islam views all human beings as equal and does not view non-Muslims in lowly terms.
The essential message of Islam that a good da’i must bring is fraternity, friendship, empathy and goodwill between humanity - the importance of embracing everybody regardless of their differences.
About 20% of the people born into the world are born into Muslim families. It gives them Islam in a painless way. For you see, that can be both advantage and a disadvantage. As for the point about being born a Muslim – since faith (iman) is different than mere belief –I feel fortunate to have conviction through searching and proving, because it will be harder to shake it. And this is truly a gift worth the effort.
For a start, I would suggest you to read Esposito’s - ‘Islam, The Straight Path’.

What do u mean by 'truth'? If u really know the 'truth' of islam, why dont u just write it down here. Every religious person thinks his religion is true. So, he would,'nt change his religion. Why dont u understand islam is not the gr8est religion god gave. dont consider it superior. I cant understand why it is only muslims who are so fanatical about their religions. Hindus never emphasise conversions. BUt islam, right from its birth, emphasis that it is the best.

Some people just are not interested in religion, and see most of them as nothing more than what has caused and is currently causing so much pain, suffering and war in the world, past and present.
Lots of people don't like "organized religion", and prefer a more personal, heartfelt, conncection/relationship, with God, or the Divine, or Ultimate Truth.

People tend to accept the religion of the culture and family they grew up in. They do this not because of the "truth" of the religion but because any other choice would create conflicts. People tend to be very hostile to other religions so it is just as unlikely that people would be convert from one religion to anohter. Yes, it does happen but it is rare.
In Islam in may middle eastern countries to convert to Christianity can bring a sentence of death on you. There was a case where that occurred in Afganistans this last year. The Muslims that were his neighbors wanted to kill him just because he converted.
I could care less who converts to what religion. I don't consider any of them "truth", certainly not verifiable truth, which is the only kind of truth I accept.
Religions tend to isolate people and divide people into hostile groups. It would be far better if we didn't have any religions. All they do is say things that are absurdly wrong. No religions speak any truth.
By the way, I've read the hadith and Koran. I was not impressed.

the same reasons people don't accept any other religion. note: if islam is the truth then why are there no true miracles to attribute to muhammad. most people that read his life story don't find anything peaceful or accepting about islam. TRUTH AND PEACE is found in the bible. why not follow a teacher who died for you and not one who waged war against your brother.

If Paganism, Hinduism and any of something if one is shown genuine i could settle for it. it is a hypothetical question and that i've got given a hypothetical answer. the certainty frequently would not suit needs and whims. nonetheless i think of it is important do something you rejoice with doing on a daily basis. I presume a great number of folk could rejoice with their prayers. The human undertaking is uncomplicated to all faiths and none. eating, eating and being merry could be a attractive ability to an end for an interfaith assembly. i think a great number of ingredients and beverages could would desire to be vetoed nonetheless. Because even if they agree with you does not mean they have found it to be their truth. I became a Muslim 2 years ago and it was because Allah opened my heart to Islam and showed me the true path. Allah guides those he wants for Islam. Other people have the right to believe or not believe what they want, you preaching to them is not going to help. Conversion is not part of our faith, we don't go knocking people's doors asking them to accept the word of Allah. It's between them and Allah judgment day is for us all. At the end brother we all stand alone and have to justify our own actions. If people ask you about Islam it is your duty as a Muslim to give them a full and honest answer, its not your duty to try to force the religion on them. It is a submission of the heart after all.

Musdlims they do want to become Christians, Christians they don't want to become Muslims because each individual is borm with his own culture, traditions and familly ties...Before you will continue to try to Push your religion on others...ask yourself " how your mother & the rest members of your familly will feel if you will become a Christian...or better yet how you will feel if your own brother becomes a Christian....The moral of the story is believe what you want to believe...but leave the rest of us alone...and by way be carefull do not become a fanatic...fanatics become eventually (child malesters & familly abusers) danger to themselves, to their familly that supose to protect, the community that supose to serve, and their Nartion that supose to defend.
