Generally not. The shops in Thailand are expensive too. You might be able to find knock offs or stollen pairs at the street markets.

I buy both, quite honestly, the jeans I buy from GAP & JCPennys look better than any 'designer' jean. I have genetic denim, 7's, lucky's etc. And out of all the designer ones I wear, I think 7's are the worst. The only reason why they probably look better is because she might have a bigger butt or something. You're only paying for a brand plastered over your butt. Because GAP cuts their jeans the same way 7 cuts their jeans, and JCPenny makes a lot of jeans styled after C&Pepper. If you really really want to get your hands on a pair, you can always look at TJmaxx, Marshalls and Ross. I've seen 'designer' jeans there for only $30-40 when they sell in the stores for $150 Also, I wear jeans almost daily, my JCPenny jeans have lasted me 2 years, my Gap Jeans 3 years but my 7 jeans ripped in less than a year. Out of all the designer jeans I like, I like Genetic Demin the most

You can buy almost any designer item cheaper in Thailand than in the USA. The difference is that they are counterfeit.
So, if you want jeanst that say Citizen or Seven, you can probably get them. They just will not be authentic.
There are high end stores that carry the real thing, but they are not cheaper there.

yes, I would say you could get a pair of designer jeans cheaper in Thailand than in the US if you are Thai or know a Thai to get ones for you. As a foreigner (western type features), you might as well buy one from the US. Everything in Thailand costs less for locals and twice more for 'farang' or foreigners. It also depends on who do you know. Friends of my sister can get a pair of designer jeans for her right out of the factory that produces them for the designer. So it all depends.

Designer anything is not cheaper in Thailand, that I have seen in Bangkok or Pattaya. Knock-offs are cheaper. They are usually lower quality. I noticed in November 2006 jeans were selling for about 250 baht which at that time was about USD7.09 at 35.30 baht per dollar. Now at the current rate at 36.80 it would be about USD 6.80. Cheap regardless.

The tariffs on Designer or name brand clothing, electronics, etc. are high and bring them close to US prices. This includes automobiles.

Just be careful what you buy and not spend tooo much.

Good luck shopping.

You can buy alot of knock offs at a much cheaper value than knock offs in the US...but if you're wanting the authentic thing...it's actually much more expensive over there...

But the knock-offs do look real...it's awesome....go get the knock-offs there really are awesome there.

you can buy almost anything cheaper in any third world country rather than in the US, but there is the airfare or shipping costs to deal with, there is also the knock-off factor (fake brand-name merchandise)

You can get great knock-offs from there.
And those are a lot cheaper.
It's impossible to tell the differance even for some experts.

Heck yeah, but they are likely to be "knock offs", but who will know? Try the night market on Soi Silom first.
