I've been seeing/dating the same guy for the last 6 months. I recently found out from a mutual friend that he had a girlfriend that he just broke up with a month ago. I asked him on several different occasions while we were seeing each other during the 6 month time period if he was seeing anyone, in which he replied no every time. Although we weren't 'official' yet, I still feel betrayed. I told him not only will we never have a romantic relationship, but also our friendship can't contiue. He apologized and explained that he could not find a way to break it to her earlier and it was hard for him to tell me that cause he thought that he would lose me. It would have been alright had he told the truth from the start. I feel I did the right thing. Should I have given him another chance?

You weren't official. This means he has the right to date other people. If he already started lying to you before you were official it doesnt look good for the future. If it were me, i'd move on. Don't waste youre time.

This is not even debatable. Trust is everything, and he lied to you for 5 months.

If he cheated on his girlfriend for 5 months, and lied to you for 5 months, how or why should you trust him when he says "You are the only girl in my life."

You did the right thing. Dishonesty so early in the relationship regardless of his reason is unacceptable.

NO. You should always be up front about stuff like that. It's good that you dumped him because he is a pu*ssy.
