Just ask her if she would ever date you but say a lot of other boys names too..put your name somewhere in the middle so she doesnt suspect a thing.

You could tell her or if you feel shy about that, you could always try chatting with her and a bit of flirting or teasing in a friendly manner.. You can ask her to the movies or something like that but more casual way rather than a date and see how she reacts. I took a friend of mine out for some ice-skating and there well hints all through out that he liked me. She might just open up.

Tell her....just let her know that after all this time of being friends, you have found yourself to be attracted to her...also let her know that your biggest concern is that awkward feeling if she does not feel the same way. Let her know that there will be no hard feelings if she does not feel the same way...and that you will not pressure her into a relationship because you value your friendship way too much!!
Good Luck!!

Step up to the plate!
Tell her you are feeling different about her - ask her to see a movie or take a walk together!
Be positive and make a move - Its the mans job!

Just tell her, you already feel awkward anyway. If she's really a good friend like you think she is, she'll probably not make you feel bad. I think she'll be flattered even if she doesn't respond the same way.

Good for you. Being friends first is often one of the best indicators for a potentially successful long-term relationship. You already like each other and can communicate.
But once you take your relationship into dating you may not be able to go back for just friends.
Tell her, "I think I'm falling for you" or some such thing. If she doesn't like it then laugh it off.

do something nice like roses on valentines day. and leave a note saying "thanks for being a good friend" or something. if she starts acting warmer to you, go ahead and tell her. but if she acts more distant, then act like the roses were nothing and you guys are still 'just friends' and nothing more. good luck.
