Thank you...
First of all let me be clear about something, the Quran was our Prophet's miracle, and it is a linguistic wonder and it is a scientific wonder itself. To understand the Quran, you have to read it thoroughly and search. Because many of Allah's words in it have hidden meanings
Second let me interpret what you read:
20:53 "He (allah) who has made for you the earth like a carpet"
from: www.thetruecall.com:
The surface of the earth i.e. earth’s crust is less than 30 miles in thickness and is very thin as compared to the radius of the earth which is about 3750 miles. The deeper layers of the earth are very hot, fluid and hostile to any form of life. The earth’s crust is a solidified shell on which we can live. The Qur’an rightly refers to it like a carpet spread out, so that we can travel along its roads and paths.
2. Carpet can also be spread on other than an absolute flat surface
Not a single verse of the Qur’an says that the earth is flat. The Qur’an only compares the earth’s crust with a carpet. Some people seem to think that carpet can only be put on an absolute flat surface. It is possible to spread a carpet on a large sphere such as the earth. It can easily be demonstrated by taking a huge model of the earth’s globe covering it with a carpet.
Carpet is generally put on a surface, which is not very comfortable to walk on. The Qur’an describes the earth crust as a carpet, without which human beings would not be able to survive because of the hot, fluid and hostile environment beneath it. The Qur’an is thus not only logical, it is mentioning a scientific fact that was discovered by geologists centuries later.
3. Earth has been spread out
Similarly, the Qur’an says in several verses that the earth has been spread out.
"And We have spread out the (spacious) earth: how excellently We do spread out!" The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 51, Verse 48
Similarly the Qur’an also mentions in several other verses that the earth is an expanse:
"Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse. And the mountains as pegs?" The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 78, Verse 6-7
None of these verses of the Qur’an contain even the slightest implication that the earth is flat. It only indicates that the earth is spacious and the reason for this spaciousness of the earth is mentioned. The Glorious Qur’an says:
"O My servants who believe! truly. spacious is My Earth: therefore serve ye Me –(And Me alone)!" The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 29, Verse 56
Therefore none can give the excuse, that he could not do good and was forced to do evil because of the surroundings and circumstances.
now the second verse: first of all you got the 6th verse a bit wrong: 6. He is created from a gushing fluid
the gushing fluid here is the sperm!
the thing is I would love to be able to explain the rest of it, it's just I have been trying for the past hour but my English has failed me due to my limited knowledge of English scientific terms, I hope someone else would explain that verse.
The prophet, wanted to expand the Islamic nation, he did it for political reasons mainly. Plus he had war ethics like never harm women, children and the elderly, don't burn trees and houses and such ( i guess ur too lazy to search)
He married a child of 9, it was quiet common at that time, it was NORMAL! he engaged her when she was 9 and married her when she was 11, that does not make him a child molester because he wasn't obsessed with children and for other reasons as wll.
He owned a slave, it was normal back then and he always told people to let go of slaves ...and it was a good deed to do so.. eventually Muslims did not own slaves and if they did they were treated with respect.

All your assertions are out of context and the result of some resentment. If you want to know about Islam, then you have to study it objectively and not like the orientalists of the past who after the Crusades went on a rampage maligning Islam.
About the flat earth: You must be confusing the flat earth issue with Galileo execution by the church when he did not agree with the church assertion that the earth was flat.
The 'carpet spread out' is in the context of spread out for use for the benefit of creatures (gardens, habitats etc) and is not a statement about the flatness or roundness of earth.
Your purpose with the truncated quote is obviously to mislead the readers. Here is the complete sentence at 20:53 “He, who has made for you the earth like a carpet, spread out; has enabled you to go about there-in by roads; and has sent down water from the sky. With this (water) have We produced divers pairs of plants, each separate from the other."
Quran also talks about orbits and celestial bodies floating in assigned orbits by the way Allah create the order.
You are also as wrong and misinformed about the statement about the process of human birth as described in the Quraan.
There is not enough space and time to show you how out of context you are in your quotes. If you are a truth seeker then the following will help:
(1) Human Birth: website http://www.islam-guide.com/truth.htm
(2) (2) Book "Human Development as Described in the Quraan and Sunna" by Dr Moor and others
(3) Book” The Developing Human" by Drs Moor and Persaud
(4) Read Translation of Holy Quraan with explanation by Abdullah Yusuf Ali.
Islam has not contradicted any know scientific fact. To read more about other facts (Science and Quraan), go to http://www.islam-guide.com/
You last statement shows your desperation and is misrepresenting the history. Muhammad was not sent to be a hermit but to lead a community providing example of a father, husband, leader of the community and a state, statesman and commander of his people when defending against those who wanted to extinguish this light.
Allah, the God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad is Wise and the Best of the planners. May be that such mis-statements as yours become impetus for search for the truth by some of the readers. So even if one reader benefits from my write up, it is worth it.

"In embryonic stages, the reproductive organs of the male and female, i.e. the testicles and the ovaries, begin their development near the kidney between the spinal column and the eleventh and twelfth ribs. Later they descend; the female gonads(ovaries) stop in the pelvis while the male gonads(testicles) continue their descent before birth to reach the scrotum through the inguinal canal. Even in the adult after the descent of the reproductive organ, these organs receive their nerve supply and blood supply from the Abdominal Aorta, which is in the area between the back bone(spinal column) and the ribs. Even the lymphatic drainage and the venous return goes to the same area."
sorry, you lose

The Spirit of the Universe communicates to us thru ordinary humans, by the means and vocabulary we are most able to understand. Jesus spoke in parables, Plato wrote in dialogues, and Mohammed spoke like so. Do you really think he would have tamed a society of pagan desert wanderers by declaring that we were seeded by fluid from the ballsack??? Allah, as Moslems call the Spirit, at that time alluded to human anatomy in a way that anyone in the time period would be willing to believe.

It is neither logical nor illogical, it just is.
Logic tends to be more of a branch of science that deals with causality and number series, etc. I don't think you could really effectively apply the word to a religion. Logic tends to deal with the material and rational; religion tends to deal with the immaterial and the irrational.
Islam is a wonderful and full religion filled with wonderful, warm and caring people. The world is a great place.

It would be nice if your facts were a little bit more accurate.
He did not marry a 9 year old!!!
She was 6 years old when he married her. And according to their rules he could fondle her and do something called thighing, where he rubs his thing between her thighs. He could not have intercourse until she began menstruating which apparently occurred when she was nine years old.

Everyone has a different perspective of what is logical and what is not. I do not find many things about Catholicism, Mormonism or Hinduism to be logical, but apparently MANY other people do. I respect this fact and do not criticize people for their beliefs. Let people live and be happy, please.

a) Jesus (John) and Paul (1 Corinthians) made reference to the 'four corners' of the earth, so don't why not concern yourself with the mote in your own eye...hmm?
b) You concern yourself with a literal logic, not with a logical of soulful purpose
c) Don't feel bad. Biblical literalists such as yourself generally have a low comprehension of holy texts. You're part of a large group.
