It sounds like some sort of food poisoning or a gastric bug. To have vomiting and diarrhoea you have upset your bowels normal routine/habit. To have something like acid sick you have upset the transit of food from your stomach to your duodenum and onwards. The acid is stomach contents. Drink milk to settle your stomach, I think that will will give you some relief. Also drink water more than usual so you don't become dehydrated. If the symptoms persist another day seek medical advice.
Gallstones would produce pain when you eat fatty foods so I'm fairly sure it's not that.
Go to work and see how you feel and if they send you home so be it.

Had this myself for 3 days after Xmas, as did my hubby (2 days after me so we know its not food poisoning!) Woke up at 3am vomiting and diarrhoea. Vomiting and fever lasted 24 hours - just could not get warm, but was drenched in sweat. Stomach cramping so much I was doubled up in pain. Could not stop sleeping either. Diarrhoea lasted a further 2 - 3 days.
It was Gastroenteritis (I was so ill I went to the docs and they diagnosed me) which I seem to get quite regularly. Last time was 3 weeks ago and only lasted 24 hours, time before was in summer and lasted 3 weeks!
Only remedy is to flush it out with water. Take immodium if you must go back to work, bit otherwise let it all come out! Sip water (I used sparkling with a splash of cordial)
Doc says its usually a 48 hour thing, very common after Xmas and there is a bit of a bout going around here more so than normal. Just take it easy, when you feel ready to eat do so simple foods in small amounts.

I myself am a nurse and it sounds like it might have gallstones! What you need to do is make a doctors appointment so that they can schedule you for an ultrasound of the right upper quadrant (aka right side of the abdomen) so they can see if yo have any stones! Hopes this helps you....take care and good luck!

Sounds like a stomach virus to me. You should not go to work if it is. You can go to the dr and he could tell you for sure.

This could be anything and could be serious (particularly if it is gastric or food posioning) you should probably go to the Dr. if you don't see improvement in the next couple of hours.
