Lenders don't usually want to give out to people with bad credit. A co-signer helps them ensure that one way or the other they will get back whatever money was borrowed. A person with Bad credit without a co-signer many not have a chance at being financed. This of course depends on each lending company, some company's don't do credit checks, and simply rely on your employment as your credit.

Usually yes, but you will pay a higher rate AND you will have to put 30% down. The reason for the higher down payment is because if you don't pay and they have to repo, they can sell it and get back thier money.
