The countries awash with them so getting one shouldn't be a problem. Biggest decision is how big a risk your prepared to take.

Cheapest:
Auctions= No warranty, comeback and just a quick look under the bonnet as it drives into the hall.

Bit more expensive:
Private sale= Still no warranty or comeback but at least you can test drive.

Bit more again:
Back street garage: You should get a warranty but try enforcing it. Even if you take the seller to court if your sold a dud and what you paid compared to the cars retail value will be taken into account.

Most expensive:
Main Dealer:
Top dollar prices but full comeback if the cars a lemon.

Effectively you get what you pay for. £3k should get you something pretty decent as long as you dont go thinking you can get a 1 year old car for it. You get what you pay for.

Pub in the East End of London, Renault Clio, you would get a 55 plate Bentley for £ 3000 round there. When we has Quad bikes nicked we get on the old HST to Padington, Taxi to the east end and asks round and buys em back, cheaper than paying the insurance excess.

Those big care warehouse places like at White city London..As advertised in Exchange and mart...I bought 2 from there..Great.

Also British Car Auctions,I got my last one there, Great too.

Also ebay has some good cars...for £3000 you'll find loads of good cars.
