The hair of the dog - means keep drinking!
Quite simple put, a hangover occurs when you alter your blood chemistry with alcohol, and then the alcohol - well, it leaves.
Without the alcohol present - you get all the nasty effects shakes, sweats, dehydration, and the toxicity of some of the alcohols' "presents" 'the congeners' (impurities from the alcohol) - not to mention acetaldehyde - a product of oxidation (metabolism of alcohol).
So belly back up to the bar boy, and have another stiff one - or two - that'll settle you stomach - well - untill tomorrow.

I don't know about the dog hair ( I think I am being too literal) but new orleans folk (aka big drinkers) say to either take a shot of what you were drinking that night the next morning or drink a beer. That has worked for me everytime...

Excedrin, water, and Gatorade (you drink all that water but if you don't balance it with sodium/salt/electrolytes, how do you keep it all in? you don't =P)
Ice cream makes me feel pretty good too =)
Never heard of anything with a dog.

um yeah, just take some tylenol and drink some water. you just need to hydrate yourself again that is all being drunk really does is dehydrate you.....a dog hair wont do anything
