like parents getting a divorce, himself doing bad in college, etc. It's not like they want another gal. they just wanna be single when things are tough for them. i dont understand. i would like someone to be there for me when things are tough for me. why do guys do the opposite girls would do?

not just guys but it's also happening with girls. Humen are like a computer whice progresing the information into and need some couple times to get the answer but it will take a lot more times if in progress get some troubel. some people no need someone else to share but if they can't handel the problem they will find another by self, so don't think that's a wrong, right think is how can we come be their spirit given and always try to make comfortable situation for them.

Because we are strange that way. We reach out for change when things get bad. Guys have an instinct to take action and fix things in most circumstances. The problems start when we don't realize that we don't have a grip on how or what to fix when it come to emotional hard times and self turmoil, so we have an urge to change things to make us feel like we are doing something. It's a fake keep busy technique to make us feel better.

maybe it's pride.. men feel like we're always expected to act all "macho" so when something bad happens and we know we're going to be sad and cry a lot, we tend to want to distance ourselves from people.. this is particularly true with girlfriends because as a girlfriend you are the main person we want to act macho for.. I'm not saying I do that, but I'm trying to help you understand from a man's perspective..

because it's easier for some guys to look like a heartless jerk than to let the woman they love help them through the hard times. they have the attitude of "who wants to see this tough guy cry?"

I think you had underestimated that person, it may be that right now what he is facing is like that he can't share that with any outsider, these things are not rare it happens, no one can share his family secrets with his/her friend normally, he is ignoring because people will ask him about only one thing so better don't face them.

guys like to handle things on our own if we got a girlfriend and something bad is happening we will end it so we can sort things out on our own without have you try to help us...
