Paul described the faith of Enoch and other witnesses when he wrote: “Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld.” (Hebrews 11:1) Yes, faith is the confident expectation, based on assurances, that the things we hope for will come true. It involves an expectation so strong that it affects the focus of our life.
. “Faith,” says the apostle Paul, “is not a possession of all people.” (2Â Thessalonians 3:2; Gal. 5:22, 23.) “Faith,” writes the apostle Paul, “follows the thing heard.” (Romans 10:17) Hearing the Bible, not just having a Bible, is what builds faith. You “hear” what God has to say by reading and studying his Word. Even young ones can do this. Paul says that “from infancy” Timothy was taught “the holy writings” by his mother and grandmother. Does this suggest that some kind of brainwashing was involved? No. Timothy was not manipulated or deceived in any way. He was “persuaded to believe” what he heard and read.—2Â Timothy 1:5; 3:14, 15.
"6Â Moreover, without faith it is impossible to please him [God] well, for he that approaches God must believe that he is and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him." (Heb. 11:6.)
Romans 10:10 says: “With the heart one exercises faith.”

Faith is by definition believing something that makes sense in logical terms but physically/experimentally cannot be demonstrated yet.
Unfortunately there has always been an element of creep into the traditional faiths of things that does not make logical sense and people are pushed to accept it as it is otherwise they will not have salvation and the poor soul swallows it as part of the faith as he is told in the church.

Dear thankless,
If you read the Bible, you will find that "faith" is a synonym for the Lord Jesus Christ. Look at Hebrews 11 and everywhere you find the word "faith", inser "Christ". I hope this will help you begin to understand the awesome treaure hidden within the Bible.

"powerful" people can take away your freedom, and they can take away your life. BUT just as you can firmly grab a-hold of your "Dignity" you can grab unto FAITH as well...NO ONE can take those TWO away from YOU. Believe me.
Almost just like Dignity. FAITH protects you when you have lost hope, FAITH guides you into mountains you never knew you could step on, FAITH leads you into The only ONE's arms that WILL save you out of hardships, struggle, and confusion (GOD ALMIGHTY BRINGS FAITH INTO YOUR HEART!)*
Having Faith, is believing with your mind, spirit, heart, and soul!
Before even knowing it will happen, YOU already know it has happened, with FAITH in your life.
GIVE FAITH A FIGHTING CHANCE!

Faith is believing without questioning the possibility of its existence......
such as faith in yourself or ability to accomplish something.
Such as faith in a God even though you have never seen this energy.

faith is a belief, trust, or confidence, not based on logic, reason, or empirical data, but based fundamentally on volition often associated with a trans personal relationship with God. and God does exist

Faith is the main ingredient in scientific advancement.
Faith actually means "trust" and nothing more.
Unfortunately the term has been misdefined to mean "absence of proof" or "a belief in magic" etc. by people who want to defend their faith by claiming a lack of it (i.e. atheists).
