Here's a way to estimate your tax refund if you don't have anything complicated:

take your total income for the year ($21000)
minus your filing status (single: $5150)
minus your 1 exemption ($3300)

The remainder should be close to your taxable income ($12,550).

You're in the 10% tax bracket, so you owe 10% of $12,550, or $1255.

You've already paid in $1600, so you'll get back something close to the difference: 1600-1255=$345.

(Sorry to misinform you. I just looked up your income on the tax tables, and it appears you owe $1506, not $1255. That puts you in a 12% bracket.)

joseph_ma... is mostly correct. There is no 12% bracket. You are in the 15% bracket. income up to the top of the 10% bracket is taxed at 10% and the excess over that amount up to the top of the 15% bracket is taxed at 15%.

No idea.

It depends on how much money you made.
