I just started horseback riding and i bought some new riding pants.....they seem long when i wear them at the same height as i wear jeans, so how high up am i supposed to wear them????

you mean breeches/britches? these pants are meant to go past your belly button, unless you have "low rise" but them as high as possible. there made to be very comfy and if you have them as law as jeans sometimes they can get uncomfortable. he he i just bought a pair too.!

I wear mine the same as my jeans, below my belly button. Whatever is comfortable to you should be what you decide to use. Sometimes, especially if you use tall boots, you can tuck the pants into heavy socks to prevent bunching up and keep any excess leg length in your sock. However, unlike with baggy pants, the crotch of riding pants should not be hanging at all. They are supposed to be tight and form fitting. Are you sure that you got the right size? If you did, then they may just be a little bit longer, and tucking them into your socks is the best way to go. It's better than having them too short and chafing the bare skin in riding boots.

I wear them the same way i wear my jeans or any other pants. But some of the pants come in different styles. Like hip hugers or low rise.
