there are some people, mostly muslims, who think that the holocaust never took place. do they have any kind of evidence or reason to back this up? any references(not to religiously biased sites)? many just say its a lie by the Jews who supposedly control the media. it would be ironic, since most media is anti-american and anti-israeli.

Actually, it isn't mostly muslims. There's a lot of folks that share that belief system.

I think that the answer to your question comes in the form of a law first mentioned by Robert Anton Wilson:

What the Thinker Thinks, the Prover Proves

In other words, If I think that the holocaust never happened, for whatever reason, and against all the contrary evidence, I would begin to gather evidence that my belief was true. I would find every piece of evidence in favor of my position and every piece of evidence against the opposing belief. In this way I could reinforce my rather ludicrous belief that the holocaust never happened because I have a mountain of evidence (no matter how specious) to support my position.

Some people actually believe that the world is round.

Israel came into existence, following a United Nation resolution after the second world war. The major reason was the holocaust.
Anti Israeli fanatics try to say that the holocaust did not take place because for them, it would mean the Israel should not have been created. .The actual president of Iran if following this logic.

The holocaust was meticulously documented by the Germans themselves. The mountain of documents, physical evidence and testimony of thousands upon thousands of eyewitnesses speaks to the horrors that were perpetrated on humanity.

For anyone to deny that it occurred can only be the result mass stupidity and, unfortunately, hatred. But considering those who claim otherwise, it is not entirely unexpected or inexplicable.

People would rather live in world seen thru rose colores glasses. They want to ignore the fact that this tragedy happened because it is depressing. All I know is that those who do not learn their history are doomed to repeat it.

How about this view.....some say that the jewish holocaust is punishment for the Jews killing Jesus....talk it up people!

14 million people were murdered in the Holocaust. Six million were Jews. The rest were Gypsies, Poles, homosexuals, and even the disabled.

There is no denying pictures and remains.

Having been to several Holocaust Museums & the Yad VaShem, and having rented from a Holocaust Survivor; I do not question the fact that it happened.
Never again.

All you have to do is look into the eyes of a survivor to know that it has happened.

Anything that attacks the beliefs that one has will become questionable in their minds. This is one of the reasons so many wars break out over religious matters.

Let me just say for the record that muslims are not the first to come up with this concept. There are people out there that call themselves revisionists and they supposedly have proof.

People that don't believe it are blind to the truth. Look at the pictures. Where did all the jews go if there wasn't a holocaust. Some people are just gullible I guess.
