Record-once (non rewriteable) DVDs such as DVD+R or DVD-R will play in all late-model regular DVD players. Many players will also play back DVD+RW or DVD-RW (reusable discs) but there is much more likelihood of problems, so if you want the best results do not use -RW or +RW type media. There is always a possibility of a particular disc not playing well, because of damaged or defective media; that may not affect the playback of the disc on the recorder, but "weaker" DVD players may have a problem. Fortunately that doesn't happen very often.

It depends. My dual layer DVDs that I record on my desktop won't play on my home DVD entertainment player. I can watch it on another computer, but not on my player for my TV.

You also need to be sure the DVD is "finalized" in order to play it. I have some DVDs that I recorded that were not finalized. I can only watch them on my home entertainment player and not on another player (either entertainment or computer) until it is finalized.

No you could not play it in a universal DVD participant. i might do away with it in the journey that your not likely to apply it. you will possibly desire to have a properly matched participant such because of the fact the upload-on HD-DVD rigidity for the xbox 360 to play those video clips. and that i dont be attentive to why somebody suggested you could play them on a PS3 becuase you cant, the PS3 purely performs blu rays not HD-DVD. Sorry to grant you the undesirable information, yet dont waste your money in this ineffective product. in case you like HD video clips choose for the two an upscaling DVD participant to make your previous video clips look extra effective, or purchase a blu ray participant and initiate off a clean series. sturdy success.
