There is no logic. Religious people are living according to ancient prejudices, most of which didn't make sense when they were first instituted, being based upon even older superstitions.

I am not in favor of discriminating against couples who wish to enter into a marriage contract and rear children just because they happen to be attracted to members of the same sex. There is no rational justification for such discrimination.

I'm with Robert K in one thing, though: that people should take responsibility for their actions. There are far too many people having children before they are ready, and their foolishness has become society's burden.

10 Reasons Why Homosexuals Shouldn't Marry:

1. Homosexuality is not natural, much like eyeglasses, polyester, and birth control.

2. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3. Heterosexual marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are property, blacks can't marry whites, and divorce is illegal.

4. Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

5. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

6. Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why single parents are forbidden to raise children.

7. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society. Heterosexual marriage has been around for a long time, and we could never adapt to new social norms because we haven't adapted to things like cars or longer life spans.

8. Heterosexual marriages are valid because they produce children. Infertile couples and old people can't legally get married because the world needs more children.

9. Civil unions, providing most of the same benefits as marriage with a different name are better, because a "seperate but equal" institution is always constitutional. Separate schools for African-Americans worked just as well as separate marriages for gays and lesbians will.

10. Obviously, gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

they are all sins, just because they happen and are becoming more accepted by society does not alter the fact that each situation is a sin and as christians we should strife to make all these abominations cease as soon as possible. gays do not have to have intercourse and therefore can avoid the sin of homosexuality and thus the problem of gay marriage would end. there are plenty of heterosexual parents that would love to adopt even if the child was put up for adoption by heterosexual couples. abortion is wrong on every level. you make a good point and it does seem fairly crazy but there are alternative solutions to every problem.

Religions are based upon faith, not logic.

Not all religious groups are anti-gay; it just seems to be the loudest & most obnoxious ones. And also much of the anti-gay prejudice in society comes from people who only go to church when they get married or die, so its not all religion's fault.

Hello, pangel, I haven't seen you in a while. I've been a 360 recluse :) There is no logic in this, only hatred in the guise of religion...

i'm sorry to tell you this pangel but most religious people who think this way lack reason logic and common sense as religion is based on faith and not on reason logic and common sense but you do bring up some very good points i'm agnostic by the way

Easy... don't be gay. If you're straight, get married, live together, and adopt a child.
