but what brings people to god ?

I think a lot of times people are drawn to God when there is a crisis or something. I beleive in him because when I pray to him about certain things he make his self known to me he listens to me and I know he will always be there for me. I can trust him with my life. And there's no one else I can say that about.

I don't, but God/or gods have always been used to explain that which was beyond human understanding. It's strange to me that there are so many that still believe.
I'm not name calling or belittling religion. However, if you look at it objectively, people chalked up some pretty strange things to God. For instance, we know now that doing dances doesn't make it rain, but many believed that this is what it took. There have been so many atrocities throughout human history in the name of God.

An inability to take responsibility for, and accept the realities of, their own lives. A lot of people have made religion into a get out of jail free card--you can do whatever you want as long as you pray/confess because then you're forgiven and you still get to go to heaven.

There is something in every one that tells them there has got to be something more to life. And that something more is JesuChrist we were created to live forever but sin separated us from God Jesus came to fill the gap. God chooses his children it is a priviledge and an honor to be able to serve him. People believe in God because they have seen the miracles he has done in their lives and others and they have "experienced" God.

It makes people feel a lot better to think someone is in control, has a plan for you life and you get to live forever and death isn't the end.

I feel like I was lead to God. Long story, but I see his work in my life everyday. I saw the power of prayer work in my life, I have seen what I need to know he is real.

Most because they suffer from a form of mental disorder called schizophrenia. Others just lie about it .

They believe that god will look out for them and keep them safe, healthy, and alive, which is stupid. God can't do anything for people but cause suffering, pain, misery, and death.
