This is a great question. I'll have to think about this !
For me the greatest thing that happened in 2006 was when my husband and I transferred our membership to the wonderful Second Baptist Church and got involved in their Bible Classes. Being a born again Christian is the most joyful life ever !!
The one bad thing that happened to me personally was when my daughter-in-law became offended at a suggestion I made. I had no idea until my son told us several weeks later that she did not want us to come over.~~~ This went from bad to worse till I just said "Lord ,I can not deal with this any longer and I must put it in your hands" and I did leave the problem there. My son was always my closest child but during this time he sent me a painful email that changed forever the perception I had of him. That is what hurts the most is that he is not who I thought he was.
We along with 2 of our other adult children and their spouses were invited to this Son's house for Christmas because he has 3 small children. We had a very nice time all being together. We have 2 other married children living in N.J and Va. It was in the end a blessed event to all be together. At 80 and 76 you are grateful for happy events, may be your last ones to leave as memories.~~~Happy New Year to you~~~~Good Luck too !!
