I am not even that old yet I noticed that sex plays a big part of this generation, prematiral sex does not solve a couples problems.
Why dont more people abstain and wait for marraige? What is the big deal about prematiral sex anyway? Isnt frienship respect God and love just as important in a realtionship? People just dont get married anymore.

I posted this because I waited until I was married and it was hard for both of us because we and still are very much in love.
It is a lot harder to withstand tempation than it is to yeild to it. I have no regrets waiting until I was married and I knew my husband almost 4 years, I took extra cautions not to make my fiance at that time fall. We hardly ever spend time alone at night and when we did spent time together alone it was in a public place like a nature walk or beach.
It is well worth the wait and we have been married over 13 years. We did not have to worry about getting preganat and the honeymoon was very speical because we were eachothers first and only and that took place after being pronouced husband and wife.

That is a wonderful question. It seems that nobody cares about that anymore. I am 26. I waited til marriage. I got married when I was 20. It is very rewarding. All my friends had sex before marriage and all they had was fighting. Remember to stand your ground. God bless you

It can be a metophoric statement.
Premarital, is before marrige. Well the LAW looks at marrige as a legally binding contract, I'm sure God's view is more romantic.
The sex needs to be controlled, but I did have my mother's friend tell me that she regreted waiting till marrige. I don't know why, but I also know people who wished thay HAD waited. It souldn't be about purely marrige, but more when a couple is ready. When they love eachiother, the kind of love you find in a marrige. What's rthe point of waiting till your marriesd if your gonna get divorced, and re-married?

I think peoples view on sex are determined by their bring up. So if an individual comes from a family that thinks of sex in a casual way and not as something sacred they are most likely to engage in premarital sex. And same with a person who comes from a family that views sex only as something married people engage in they are going to view sex as something sacred. Unfortunately for those of us who weren't raised that way we tend to view sex as something done casually. If you think about it, its not really our fault for being extremely horny...its society.

Abstinence is a good thing. As Joshua Harris puts it, "The joy of intimacy is the reward of commitment."
People don't want to commit anymore, but want intimacy. Probably why they don't feel fulfilled no matter how much sex they have.

Being sexually compatible is just as important as being emotionally compatible.
I didn't wait. Doesn't seem to have bothered my marriage at all.
The reason to not have sex is mostly due to sexually transmitted disease. But there is no reason not to have sex if its just been the two of you.

Well, there is a view that says "don't knock it until you've tried it", but the most important thing is that you live your life your way. Don't let anyone pressure you in to something you don't want.

I most certainly do believe abstinence before marriage is a good thing. Preserve yourself (and your dignity!) and get married at a young age to a quality person and enjoy a pure married life.

yes abstinence is good but sex is over rated people think that if they have sex it will be like in the movies or the other person will instantly fall in love with them when neither are true

I think it's a natural human urge that no one should fight unless they are under the age of 17.

Sex is natural. We are biologically driven to procreate. And marriage is a dying institution, thankfully.
