I'm typing on a refurbished HP Media Center PC I purchased before the holidays on-line from Elecsurf Computers via Amazon.com. I set it up according to the included user-friendly intructions. I'm very pleased.

My experience is that refurbs from reputable vendors often give better reliability than new. Visit ELECSURF via http://www.amazon.com/

I've bought refurbished equipment, never had problems. Most manufacturers still warranty them for a period of time, so I'd say, go for it!

Sure...The refurbs may have just had a scratch on the cover or a know got busted and they fixed it. but they can not sell as new so there you go. Cheers
