Goosebumps!?

Does anyone know why we get goosebumps? I know they come up when someone is cold. But why? This may seem like a dumb answer, but I am at work and got them! HaHa!

It's a reaction to 'thicken' the skin and to trap warmth in between the bumps to help retain heat.
