the undercarriage is identical, unless there was special ordered updates added before or since assembly, after that the name plates and final trim are the only differences

For GMC and Chevy the K means 4 wheel drive. The C means 2 wheel drive.

The K and C series from GMC is the option for the drivetrain. (a 2x4 or a 4x4)! The 1500 stands for the GVWR (aka 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, 1 ton etc etc).

c1500 is 2-wheel drive K 1500 is a 4 wheel drive (at least thats what we use for insurance purposes)

This is definitely the difference between a 4WD (K) and a 2WD (C). That is all it means, but obviously it is a very important designation.

K stands for four wheel drive and C stands for two wheel drive. both are considered a half ton pick-up or blazer.

I believe the k1500 had a heavy duty suspension and a tow package.

K usually means it 4WD, and the C is usually 2WD.
