I went to a New Year's party with my girlfriend and my friend. My friend is kind of ... weird. I hate to say that about a friend, but it's true. Sometimes, it's as if he lacks common sense and doesn't know where the fine line, which he can not cross, is. For example, one time, he was "jealous" that a "taken" girl wasn't showing him affection or attention. Yep, she was "taken", and he was seeking her affection.

So to make a long story short. My girlfriend and my friend talk sometimes, but not much. At the party my girlfriend and I always sat very closely. I went outside to talk on the phone for a minute, and he asked my girlfriend to dance, but she turned him down. I returned and sat next to my girlfriend again, and my friend tells me in an angry way "I just asked your girl to dance, but she said she was tired. "Excuses"! She just wants to dance with YOU all night." And I thought to myself lol No Sh*t Moron, she's MY GIRL. So anyway, I was proud, wondering what this says about my gf.

That your GF is a loyal person and you should treat her with the utmost respect. Girlfriends like this are few and far between, meaning, not many like her these days, so hold on to her!

I think it says she was probably tired, and didn't feel like dancing. But, from a different aspect, as i see you are looking for much more meaning to her actions, it may also show that she's probably aware of your friend's social shortcomings and immaturity and didn't want to do anything to confuse him about the relationship between the two of them. Dancing with someone isn't cheating, and therefore her turning him down for a dance isn't necessarily a sign of loyalty, if that's what you're trying to get at. But it could show that she's mature enough to consider how you might feel about seeing them dancing, knowing your friend's problems.

Sometimes you have friends in your life that lack common sense and you feel like you have to stick up for them even though you know what they did was a bone head move. I don't know what it says about your girlfriend though. Does she truly like your friend or just deals with him when he is around? Was this the only occasion she gave him the cold shoulder or is reoccuring? You have to look at these issues. It's either you let this incident go or ask both of them how they feel about one another. I don't know how long you have been with your girlfriend or how long you have known your no common sense friend, but is it worth having one hang around while the other is with you?

I would say that your friend should get the first official Darwin award for 2007. Even MORE seriously than that, I would maybe start cutting off ties with him as he seems to be a few fries short of a Happy Meal.

Your gf just doesnt feel attracted by your friend...probably cause he's a moron...keep hanging with him and convince your gf that most guys are like him. That will make U look good.

U can do your friend a favor and go to his parents and ask'em to teach him some social skills...

Well, first you should have said the comment out loud to the moron.
It can say 2 things about your girl.
1. She is true to you..
2. She really doesnt like your friend.

You really cant read into her reaction, unless she is attracted to weird people.

well this says she's not interested in dancing with other guys, just you. or she just didnt want to dance with him cause he's weird. or she's not very nice, turning down dance offers. or she's really faithful. probably the weird friend part.
