Yes. I can think of two couples who were high school sweethearts right off hand. My sister-in-law and her husband and another couple who are friends of the family. My sister-in-law and her husband have been married for almost 10 years and they have 3 children. The marriage is good, but they don't seem all that passionate. The other couple I know have been married for about 6 years and have 2 small boys. They've been together since the teen years and have a fantastic relationship. One benefit of marrying your long-time sweetheart is that you probably have a lot in common such as where and how you grew up. Most likely you have similar morals and values - I think this is the most important aspect of compatibility.

My grandparents did. They met, broke up, married other people, divorced, and got together with each other again. lol Things just happen!
My parents were high school sweethearts, too. They will have been happily married for the past 22 years February 8.

Yes, A LOT of people I know have married their high school sweeties. In fact, I was just at a wedding last week of the sort. They just graduated this year, and were high school sweethearts. A little young for my liking, but thats their call.

Oh my yes! I had several friends who married their high school sweethearts. The ones who married b/4 graduation haven't fared very well. They are every single one divorced now. The ones who married right after graduation haven't done much better. The ones who went on to college - at least a couple of yrs - and then married their high school sweethearts are mostly all still together. Me personally, I d i d n 't marry my high school sweetheart (we broke up my sr yr after dating 4 yrs) and it was probably one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. He was a loving, agreeable, hard working young man who went on to make something wonderful of himself. The jerk I married instead couldn't keep his pants on and ended up arrested for attempting to commit indecency with a child.

Yea my cousin married his High school sweet heart ... in fact they had been together since the 8th grade.. they got married at 20 and 21 now they are 34 and 35 and two kids a big *** home and great careers. on the other hand my dad and mom was high school sweet hearts in the 70's they got married in 75 divorced in 83 so you do the math. I myself will be getting married and I have been with my girlfriend since she was 18 and she is now 21 and we are still in love 1 child later.. so you just have to ask God to show you. the real thing to look at is how beneficial is your mate to you. Like Do they compliment you in your weak areas. I mean pick up the lose ends.

I started dating my husband when I was 16, got married at 19 and now I am 67 and he is 70. We have had a wonderful time.We have enjoyed camping, fishing, reading and 3 children.
I have done a lot of traveling He does not like to travel, but my friends and children have traveled with me. Go for it and don't walk out when trouble comes-work it out-be sure you have found the right one first -talk a lot before marriage-its not just sex its friendship and liking each other
