It can and usually does signify the material it is made from. Density and weight can vary from BB to BB brand but little within a brand. A light BB will travel farther than a heavier BB.

BBs and bullets are usually measured in Feet per second which is how fast they travel. If that is your question then you must look on the box and see if one weighs more. If not they probably travel the same.

When they hit an object mass also plays a role (density). the heavier an object and its velocity determine the impact. So color can be indicative of this if it is a different material

No, there are the orange/tannish colored, copper clad BB's (copper coated steel balls) and there are lead BB's which are a silver color. There is little difference in these as far as power. The strength of a BB guns shot depends more on the method and strength of the propellant.

No not that i know of, But i do know that different kinds of colors in bullets is for a different kind of BB gun

Yes, The gold are light weight copper plated nickel. the silverish gray are dupleted uranium which are more dense and slightly radioactive.
