Do you see smoking as a sin?

In my guess,

It would be allowed but no-one there would want, need or desire to smoke. All we know about heaven is that it will be perfect and beyond our human comprehension.

Peace!

I see smoking as a sin, but it is not foreign in heaven.

From Revelation 15:5-8;
5 ¶ And after these things I saw, and lo, opened was the sanctuary of the tabernacle of the testimony in the heaven;
6 and come forth did the seven messengers having the seven plagues, out of the sanctuary, clothed in linen, pure and shining, and girded round the breasts with golden girdles:
7 and one of the four living creatures did give to the seven messengers seven golden vials, full of the wrath of God, who is living to the ages of the ages;
8 and filled was the sanctuary with SMOKE from the glory of God, and from His power, and no one was able to enter into the sanctuary till the seven plagues of the seven messengers may be finished.

I guess smoking could be a sin. One sin is injuring or hurting yourself. Since smoking does hurt you and you are doing it to yourself, I guess it is a sin.

Maybe there is a "designated smoking area" outside the door of Heaven.

Where do you suppose you will get the cigarettes? How will you pay for them? Where will you put the ashes? Will you be seated next to me as I try to finish my dinner? I do not see smoking as a sin, only an unfortunate weakness. Sorry to hear that you have doubts about it's acceptability in your afterlife. By the way, I'm an athiest and you will get no prejudgments from me.

Seriously, giving 'em up, IN THIS LIFE, really feels good.

Smoking is a physical thing, i don't think we'll have physical bodies when we get there so even if they allow it you probably won't want to do it anyway. Same goes for many other things that do our body harm (or good, i.e. doing aerobics), and for other things that provide bodily pleasures like eating, having sex, or getting massages. Fundamentalists, evangelicals, and some protestants view anything harmful to the body as against God's will because the body is considered the temple of the Spirit. However, much less emphasis is put on eating the wrong foods, or not exercising, which, if one really takes the temple of the Spirit idea seriously, should also be considered evil. I guess it's because it's hard to draw the line per individual. one person's body can take more cholesterol than another before he develops coronary heart disease. Smoking is easier to qualify, you smoke, you die. Catholics however don't seem to have any problems with it from a religious point of view. I know priests who smoke. I guess "born-again" catholics will follow the fundamentalis/evangelical view. the smoking ban usually goes with the drinking ban, although with drinking the ban is more strictly about getting drunk as opposed to simply drinking alcoholic beverages in moderation. Indeed I have not seen devout fundamentalists/evangelicals ever drink without feeling guilty.

I'm not evangelical, or religious in any way, but i've started to enjoy smoking and drinking less and less. it must be the age. I also don't enjoy sweets as much, or eat fatty stuff. I guess my body's telling me "i've had enough of that, now eat some fruit...ok enough...eat some vegies...alright, now avoid that carb"...and so on. but i digress.

if you're trying to quit because you're now a "christian", most evangelicals believe that the Spirit will help you quit, most of them even report instant "healing" from the date of conversion. This goes for alcoholism and drug addiction. and any other bad habit for that matter. If you're not getting enough help from the Spirit then you might want to take on a hobby that doesn't work well with smoking, like running, or most sports.

It might be a sin because it harms you. But God knows best. And i think you wont need to smoke in Heaven, there must be more tempting habits for us

Whatever personal bad habits you have developed as a way of coping with the world. Let Jesus help you to remove them. He will do so, not all at once but one at a time. If you stay in prayer you will understand and follow what He is showing you. If you have a habit that hurts others, you must stop that immediately!

No smoking will not be allowed in Heaven. Smoking destroys the body (temple of God) and therefore is a sin.
1 Cor. 3: 16-17
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
