Here we go bear with me.............
The other day a jehovah knocked my door and we had a bit of a barny ( ill go in to that again) and he showed me a sentance that just puts justice into prospective

it went something like this

jesus was on trial so when they accused him for whatever it was he replied
'you dont believe me even when i tell the truth'

well cut a long story short they killed him and since then we are not left to forget

so next time a judge tries to send you down find this passage and quote it to him , tell him they messed up too and, you dont want to be remebered for being wrongly imprisioned

Am i right or what?!?

so do you think it would work??

they cant admit they are wrong!

"Jehovah" is the personal name of Almighty God the Father. Adherents of the religion which has worked tirelessly to preach and teach the bible are called "Jehovah's Witnesses" or "Witnesses" or "JWs".

It is disrespectful and mildly blasphemous to refer to any human as though he were the Almighty Sovereign of the Universe (eg. as "a Jehovah").

OMG, what century are YOU stuck in? Most people are agnostic or indeed atheist these days, and have lost the true meaning of their faith. Normally, people who pray these days only do it when they want something. So, in a world full of such little faith - no, that wouldn't work. Darwinism and modern science can be blamed for that if it bothers you.

Also, it would lead criminals to use it as an excuse if it did, which would make our justice system a joke. Every heard of how Myra Hindley pretended to become a devout Catholic, just to get parole points? Mass murderers will never become Christians, or true members of any accepted religion, believe me.

And as for Jehovah's Witnesses - they do that to everyone, personally I wish they'd stop knocking at my door, now I don't even bother listening, I just shut it! :P

do i think it would work?
no is the short answer...
they will look at evidence circumstances etc, and the jury - not the judge will decide your innocence... should you be wrongly accused and proved innocent they do admit they were wrong with a formal pardon and im fairly sure you will be able to claim a silly amount of compensation...
If you could use religious ideas as a defence then we would have no hope of convicting islamic extremists for acts of terroism!
every rapist peaophile murderer etc etc would be using religious quotes as a defence.. something written thousands of years ago also has less credability than the accused anyway

Prison life sounds rather coushty to me though.. they earn up to 13,000k a year, dont pay taxes but get tax benefits, have three free meals a day, games consoles, pool tables, gym, christmas hampers, education + qualifications (all free(tax payers fit the bill)) seems cheaper than getting an education in university!
