God will forgive you IF you sincerely repent and ask His forgiveness. It is not automatic.
The hard part here is SINCERE REPENTANCE. You can't bu**$*** the Supreme Being.
You have to be genuinely sorry, and admit that you were wrong and what you did was wrong, not just "I'm sorry I don't want to get punished" but "Man, I can see now that I was wrong, and I deeply regret what I did."
This is not an easy thing to do, it requires humility, and for people that were as full of pride and as convinced that they were right as Saddam, Stalin, and Hitler were it would be even more difficult.
I don't know if they could make that leap. I don't know if they did make that leap.
But I do know that the opportunity was available to them, as it is to all of us.

God forgives all sinners who seek Him with an open heart and are born again through the Blood of Jesus Christ.

Saying that God forgives all sinners is false. God forgives all sinners that find God in their heart. God forgives all sinners who believe in him.

He forgives those who repent. We don't know if Saddam, Stalin and Hitler repented. We should hope they did, but it is not something we know now.
