Well I was going to say you could go to a salon and have them use a color remover but since you went lighter (and actually lifted the pigment out of your hair) that is not going to work! Basically you can have a stylist deposit a darker color ontop of what you have... Depending on how light your hair is she may need to fill it before applying color and then tone it afterwards! The only other way to rid of it is to grow it out which will be a long and lengthy process... Next time work with semi-permanent... You cannot lift the hair with a semi-permanent but you can go darker and deposit... This is actually more mild then a permanent solution and better for your hair!

It sounds like you lightened (?)....then no, if you lightened all you can do is color over it and know that it will fade out and go back to the lightened color.
Be careful to not process over and over, not only will you not get the color you want but you may damage your hair. There are color strippers but they damage the hair too, you can find them in a beauty supply, but if you lightened they will not darken your hair back to it's original color, only remove the color deposited in the hair shaft.
Temp hair colors like "shades" are so much better, they last about two to four weeks, and only tint the hair but they wash out and as long as you don't do it too often, they don't dry the hair as much.
Permanent is the key...though permanent colors fade if you went darker and do change color if you went lighter, getting them completely out is difficult and often the things people do at home can really back fire.

Go to a professional colourist. She can color you hair back to its original color so that your roots will blend in and be the same color. Keep it trimmed every 4 to 6 weeks and soon it will have been grown out.

i would recommend that you go to your hair sylist and have her fix your hair. that way, there is no chance of messing up your hair. i think if it were me, i would have her put darker highlites on and weave them in so you could grow your hair out over time. i mean rather than shocking your hair with completely different color. and from what i have been told -- your hair actually does go into shock.
i hope this has helped you--good luck and happy new year.

The only way to get rid of it that I know of is to dye it back to your original color - have a professional do it if you can afford it.

Wash your hair a lot with shampoo that doesn't protect color? It does sound like a stupid question, although I recognize the validity of it.

You to bleach out the dyed color and then color it close to your natural color and wait for it to grow out.

Well you could shave it and then let it grow back or cut it little by little untill your original hair grows back.
