Need new clues to get rid of Indian Mynahs from our back garden. We live in North Queensland and with these pesty birds, we have no natives visiting. Started putting out Wild Bird Seed and will try mango slices for the natives - nothing yet. Yesterday, the pests scared off 3 large black cockatoos trying to rest in the trees. There must be a solution to get rid of these mynahs. Help.

there is our Australian native minors also also called common minor or soldier minor or noisy minor
some people get them mixed up they are bossy boots if birds are near their nest ( they are a grey bird ) where the Indian minor is dark brown
the only thing they do( Indian minor ) really is when nesting & they want a nest they may pull other eggs or maybe young birds out

I don't mean to be down hearted, but really, good luck, these birds are SOO smart, to smart for their own good. Short of getting yourself a bird hunting dog... 'cause the birds would deal with most cats.

Sorry.

try scarecrows or other bird dolls that resemble the types of birds you want visiting.
