Hi,
I am installing a lamp(2) on the way of an other lamp(1). Both are controled by a switch. It shows 120V, but the bulb is not very bright, why?
how can I fix this problem?
Thanks,
Nick.

I assume this is a residential circuit and is installed to NESC and local codes.

If not, then maybe the resistance of the circuit is to high.

Bad connections, too small or too long of wires. It not like a couple of light bulbs are gonna draw that much current though.

Maybe something is really goofy with the power factor and the voltage is way out of phase.

Sounds like you wired the lamps in series... Re-wiring them in paralel should fix the problem.

I guess you need to buy a higher watts bulb. or need some dust cleaning.
