generally speaking, there is no break between basic training and school. he would NOT be allowed to live off base during school at all. The first time he MIGHT( stress the word might) be allowed to live off base(depending on his paygrade) is when he is done with all of his schooling and at his first Duty Station.

Even if you were to be married, he would not be authorized to bring family along unless his school was for more than 26 weeks. anything less than that, and it would not be paid for, nor would he most likely get permission tolive off base, even if you do follow him on your own.

Depends on some factors. If he is young and below the rank of E-4, generally speaking he will be in the dorms, and you will not be allowed to live with him. He can petition to be off base, unless you two are married, in which case you/he will get base housing or BAH for off post housing.

How long his school is depends on his exact job. Usually wait time is short, and you probably wont be able to stay with him while in school. His recruiter can give you more detail on times etc
