She bought me a nice gift...300 dollars worth, for Xmas, I didnt get her a thing. What should I buy her in return? I told her that I already have something...but I am stuck. We are moving in 3 weeks..then its all goodbyes from there. No more communication as far as best friends. I still care about her tremendously, but she has moved on. I feel so sad about this. What should I get her. PLEASE....only serious answers.
I just want to know if I should get her a really nice gift, that is heart felt...or something that she can use when she moves to another city and is getting settled in?

This is great help. Seems like a necklace is the thing that is mentioned the most. Maybe that, mixed with a goodbye care package is the best gift. What do you all think about this gift... http://www.kay.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product1%7C10101%7C10001%7C-1%7C171693803%7C15053%7C15053.15064.15122

You can do both. Get her something for her new place that when she looks at it will remind her of you and the good times that you had. Was her gift heartfelt or mushy or just something nice. That should give you some hint. It does not have to be alot of money to be nice. Could be a picture of the city/town she is moving from to hang in her new place. Good luck!

If you care about her, there is nothing wrong with buying her a gift. There's a necklace from Tiffany's that I bought my wife and it's her favorite. It's silver and is an outline of a heart shape and hangs on a very thin silver chain. It comes in three sizes. I got the middle size and it was about $150...not too expensive. The thing is, girls think it is expensive because it's from Tiffany's!

That is a tough...you two are no longer together and yet you still exchange gifts. Sounds like a perfect world to me. I say no way to the necklace. That is a gift that she may not wear when she enters in to a new relationship. I say get her something for her new place. Is there something more sentimental, that you could remember, that means something to her.

how sure are you that she has moved on? buy here something really nice or the best thing a girl can get is love. buy her a nice necklace and then talk to her when you give it to her you can never be sure if she moved on only if she is getting married or something even then you could win her heart back

Since she has moved on, I wouldn't give her anything heartfelt. I would give either something practical like a gift card to Target which will help her out or something more personal - like a gift basket of Bath & Body lotions, bubble baths, candles etc in her favorite scent.

If you really feel the need to, I'd go with something useful, maybe something like a food processor. And tell her best wishes in her new home and you hope it will come in handy. So you're still thinking about her, but not jewelry that will end up in a drawer or pawned.
(You're really great for keeping this amicable.)

If she's moving you can go practical and help out with the expenses. Or get her a map of her new area and do some research on restaurants/theaters/stores in her new area.
Otherwise you can go sweet and buy her a massage (easy enough to research online to find one in her new town) and tell her it's to help her relax after her move.

I would get her something for the new place. You know her better than anyone else right now and you know what she would use or appreciate every day. Maybe improve on something she already has. Don't make it too personal or expensive if it is truly the end for the two of you.

We all should have such generous ex-girlfriends. After a gift like
that it's clear she still cares about you as well. You have to get
her something nice, never mind being practical and getting her
a toaster.
