put up thousands of crappy outside ones are regretting it now I bet.
1, they looked shite anyway
2, It just showed all your neighbours what knobs you are
3, you will have to spend 2 hours taking the tacky crap down.
4, you did your bit of environmental damage, well done.

Myself I have one small cheap fake tree, I like to think its practical and unassuming, unlike you people mentioned above, who seem to use the amount of Christmas lights you put up as an extention to your very small peni.
I thank you, I feel better now.

*sob* You're talking about me, aren't you?

But the local kids loved my inflatable Santa, and we raised £4.63 for the local hospice. AND, we only narrowly missed being featured on GMTV. Never mind, next year.

Why did you bother putting one up in the first place if that's how you feel about decorations?

I am one of the people you refer to and believe me.
1; they do not look sh+++
2; my neighbours do not think that about me.
3; I will probably spend 3 hours taking them down[so what]
4; I don't think I've damaged the environment that much.

But I'm so glad that you feel better now.

Mine still up and in no rush to take them down. For me Christmas last until after the New Year. Oftne I have them up until the 12th day but think I will take them down at the weekend before going back to work on Monday.
We love Christmas and the children love the decorations, its only for a short time each year so make the most of it :o)

I would love to put up a lot of Christmas decorations and lights everywhere just for my children but alas I do not have the time....

I can't understand how these people do find the time to do it, I was out every weekend in December on work parties, I work full time and have 4 children.......

By the way its unlucky to take your decorations down before the 12th night, so my mother told me when I told her today that mine are all down.........

II gave the house a spring clean, because my body clock was f*****, but I don't regret taking the Christmas tree down, because the Christmas period was over by now and some people went to work today and Jan sale started on 26 Dec, so they will be very tiered when time come to take it down. 12 Days after 25 Dec.

i think ouside lights are awesome . i personally havent put them up this year because i hate climbing ladders *shudders* but i think its nice for people to make an effort . It also makes children smile . surely you can cope with a bit of tackiness for a few days? and as for enviromental damage i think it really doesnt make that much of an impact ? try targeting mercedes driving executives who polloute the earth far more than harmless christmas loving , well spirited people .
